This page has been designed to display our range of fireplace hearths.
All our hearths are made on site from raw ' as dug out of the ground ' quarry block, this means we can cater to any bespoke size or shape, thickness or detail you may require.
This is an example of our Yorkstone.
Made from Yorkshire's finest stone (York Stone) quarried locally to us in West Yorkshire.
Generally Buff/Brown in colour, this Sandstone by it's nature is made up of various sized grains and particles laid down over millions of years.
It is all the natural characteristics that make each hearth truly unique and unlike any other product.
The plain edge detail on this is finished square with polished edge.
It is polished on the large top side and then the front edge and 2no side edges.

Generally Buff/Brown in colour, this Sandstone by it's nature is made up of various sized grains and particles laid down over millions of years.
It is all the natural characteristics that make each hearth truly unique and unlike any other product.
The edge detail on this hearth is what we call chamfered, it has been masoned to form a 45 degree angle along the top edges on all 3 sides.

It is typically applied to the top front edge and the 2 side return edges.

This hearth has a pitched edge, but it has also been scabbled and aged with colour to match the look of aged Yorkstone, the beauty of this kind of hearth is that it can made any size or shape.
This is an example of reclaimed Yorkstone, this is the geniune product.
We generally supply these hearths as a five piece set,this allows for a blend of surface finish,colour and texture, but it also allows you to maintain an old aged edge to the front and 2no side returns, no matter the size.
Typically the thickness varies on each piece of Yorkstone,from around 40mm - 80mm depending on what we have in our yard, However we offer an exclusive calibration service meaning each hearth has a uniformed thickness of 2'' (50mm
